What are some of the factors that led to your decision to enter the seminary and discern the question of a vocation to the priesthood?
I discerned the question of a vocation to priesthood for three years prior to applying to seminary. The most important factor that led me to my decision to enter St. John's was the witness of several very holy and joyful priests in my life. None of them put any pressure on me to come to seminary, rather, they lived out their vocations with joy and simply let me know that priesthood might be an option for me.

Who are some of the people who influenced your decision to enter the seminary? What is it about them that assisted you?
Other than the priests I've already mentioned, my mom has influenced my decision the most because she passed the gift of faith along to me, and through Christ, has helped me tremendously on my faith journey. My dad as well has always supported me and provided me with everything I've needed in my life. Without their love and support, my decision to enter seminary would not have been possible.

What would you say is the role of prayer in the life of a seminarian and what effect does it have on one's ability to see God's call?
The role of prayer is a vital element to the life of a seminarian. Prayer keeps me close to Christ at all times, and the only way to see His call is to stay close to Him in prayer.

What advice would you give to a man who thinking about his vocation and is considering that God may be calling him to be a priest?
Be not afraid. Don't run from anything you feel God is asking of you. Stay close to our Lord in prayer. Be open to His will and seek to serve Him in all that you do.

What do you like most about being a seminarian?
My favorite thing about being a seminarian is this incredible opportunity to learn more about the richness of my Catholic faith in class everyday.

What do you think is the greatest challenge facing a man who is considering the seminary?
The greatest challenge a man considering seminary faces is simply his own willingness to do what every Christ asks of him. In the very moment when I truly meant it when I told Him, "Lord, I will do whatever you ask of me," I knew exactly what He was asking of me.

What are some of your hobbies or pastimes? What are some of the things you like to do in your "free" time?
I love sports. In any free time that I have at the seminary, I play sports and watch Premier League soccer on television. Other hobbies include: reading, traveling, Broadway musicals, skiing, and photography.

What are some of your favorite authors/books/movies?
I don’t have any favorite authors, books, or movies, because I enjoy watching and reading what other people think is good. The most recent book I finished was “Lumen Fidei” and my favorite series was Harry Potter. As far as movies go, I love Star Wars.

What do you think is the best way to encourage vocations to the priesthood in the Archdiocese of Boston?
The best way to encourage vocations in the Archdiocese of Boston is for priests and seminarians to live the Catholic faith prayerfully and joyfully, to be witnesses of Christ's love to everyone.
